The Client
Issy had trained with Dabbs Fitness for a couple of years, building a strong foundation of consistency and trust with our coaching team. But with her wedding on the horizon, she came to us in September 2025 with a clear new goal: she wanted to take her training and nutrition more seriously than ever before, and arrive at her wedding day in July 2026 feeling strong, confident and completely at home in her body.
The Goal
Issy’s brief was specific. She was not chasing a number on the scale. She wanted to reshape her physique with intention, focusing on:
- Building her glutes, adding strength and shape through progressive lower-body training
- Toning her arms, so she would feel confident in her wedding dress on the day
- Getting leaner overall, without sacrificing the strength and muscle she had already built
With ten months to the wedding, we had time to do this properly: build a plan that was sustainable, progressive and centred around real strength gains rather than a quick fix.
The Plan
Issy committed to:
- Two personal training sessions per week at Dabbs Fitness, consistently, from September 2025 through to July 2026
- A tailored nutrition approach, built around her goals, her lifestyle and what would actually be sustainable for her
- Progressive programming focused on glute-building movements — hip thrusts, split squats and targeted glute isolation work — paired with upper-body work to build lean, defined muscle

The key to the programme was not pushing her to maximal intensity every session. It was consistency, and a nutrition strategy that supported fat loss while preserving the strength and muscle Isadora had already built. Two quality sessions a week, every week, for ten months, backed by nutrition that supported the work being done in the gym.
Example Session
| Order | Exercise | Sets × Reps | Rest |
|---|---|---|---|
| A1 | Barbell Hip Thrust | 3 × 6–8 | 2–3 minutes |
| A2 | Kettlebell Plank Saw | 3 × 12 | — |
| B1 | Pull-Up | 3 × 6–8 | 2 minutes |
| B2 | Curtsy Lunge | 3 × 10 | — |
| C1 | Half-Kneeling Dumbbell Shoulder Press | 3 × 10 | 1 minute |
| C2 | Hamstring Curl | 3 × 10–12 | — |
| C3 | Side-Plank Abduction | 3 × 30 seconds | — |
The Results
By July 2026, Issy had transformed not just her physique but her relationship with training and food. She was significantly leaner overall than when she started, while still holding onto the vast majority of the strength she had built along the way — proof that the fat loss came from smart, sustainable habits rather than muscle loss.
Her glutes showed real, visible growth and strength gains, her arms were noticeably more toned and defined, and, most importantly, she walked into her wedding day feeling confident, strong and proud of the work she had put in.

This was not a transformation built on restriction or burnout. It was built on solid training, better nutrition habits and ten months of consistency.
